A structured programme taking your business from initial questionnaire through to F4N Granted status — typically completed within 12–18 months.
Capability Questionnaire
Complete an initial capability questionnaire to help NucCol understand whether F4N is right for your business and how the programme can best support your goals. This is the first step to finding out if you're ready to begin.
Business Excellence Self-Assessment
An online self-assessment covering six key categories of business operation and performance, with 10 multiple-choice questions in each. This gives you a clear baseline picture of your business before any consultant involvement.
Site Verification Visit
Your F4N Supply Chain Consultants visit your premises to review and verify your self-assessment answers in person. This is also an opportunity to understand your facilities, team, and ambitions in the nuclear sector.
Business Action Plan
Working with your Supply Chain Consultants, you build a structured action plan to close the gaps identified in your self-assessment. The plan prioritises changes with the greatest impact on your nuclear sector readiness — covering quality, operations, H&S, and business strategy.
Sector Specific Knowledge Assessment
Nuclear buyers have expectations that go beyond standard business excellence. This assessment measures your sector knowledge against what buyers actually require, identifying areas for further development. It includes both a self-assessment and a verified element, and is released to your company at the appropriate stage of the programme.
Sector Specific Knowledge Transfer Modules
Attend online Knowledge Transfer sessions to build your understanding of nuclear sector requirements, procurement standards, and technical expectations. These sessions directly address the gaps identified in your sector knowledge assessment.
Pre-Grant Visit
As you near completion of your action plans, your Supply Chain Consultant visits to review your progress and prepare your case for F4N granting. This is the final stage before your improvements are formally assessed by the granting panel.
F4N Granted & Ongoing Support
Once the granting panel is satisfied by your improvements, you're awarded F4N status. Granted companies receive regular consultant contact, full access to all NucCol benefits, inclusion in the supplier database, and 12 months of ongoing support. An annual subscription retains your F4N Granted status and continued access to everything the network offers.
